Pamela Fink
good charma is the creation of New York based designer Pamela Fink. With a discerning eye for trends, a passion for Balinese culture, and a powerful belief in generosity and spreading positive vibes, Pamela has created a line of hip, funky jewelry with the intention of bringing good fortune to all who wear it.
Born and raised in the bucolic Berkshire Mountains, Pamela's earliest influence came from her grandmother's incredible collection of jewelry, which inspired her passion for "dress up." She was equally influenced by a superstitious father who collected charms from his world travels that he believed brought him luck. Growing up, Pamela honed her knowledge of trends and styling at her family's well-known specialty department store, Gatsbys, where her collection initially debuted.
Throughout her adult life, Pamela has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and Indonesia discovering a particular love for Bali and its rich culture. In 2001, during her fourth trip to Bali, the U.S. announced its invasion of Iraq. As Pamela absorbed the global reaction to the war, she felt compelled to create designs that represented love, peace, and generosity. By combining her love of Balinese culture, her personal collection of charms and keepsakes, and her innate sense of style, good charma was born. Bracelets with dangling charms featuring engraved medallions, wishbones, hearts, Asian coins, starfish, doves, and angels, were originally designed in sets of six with the idea that the wearer might pass one bracelet on to spread good fortune, echoing Pamela’s belief in “paying it forward.”
good charma has been coveted and worn by countless celebrities including Madonna, Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Maria Shriver, Meg Ryan, Keri Russell, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez. The brand continues to expand with Wish 4 Peace, a collection of scarves with bold, whimsical prints that play on the themes of love, peace, and all things good charma.
